Darn! I just had this whole thing typed out and it lost it! Here we go again. (Lord, please let it work this time!)
One thing people need to know about me is that I absolutely LOVE to read. It pretty much comes as natural to me as breathing. People are always amazed at how much I like to do it, but I think I'm pretty much astounded by how much others hate it! I mean, I go crazy if I find a new Christian author that I love (which is what this post is about). I tell everyone about the book and then get upset when they don't seem interested. Woe is me. They don't know what they are missing. I mean, I was so dang excited when I read the Glorious Appearing in the Left Behind series when Jesus finally came back. *sigh*
Anywho, my new favorite author, who I just started reading but has been around awhile, is Karen Kingsbury. Homegirl here is in LOVE with all of her books. Y'all, she has a serious GIFT beond all belief! Her books have come to mean so much to me that they are hard for me to explain. They read like real life, and the problems that arrive seem like they could happen to anyone. They have strengthened my relationship with God and makes me want to be a better follower of Him! One thing that has stuck with me from these books is my new life motto, Jer. 29:11. God has a plan for me, even if I have no clue what I am doing right now (another story, another time!).
I am almost currently caught up with the Baxter saga (3 different series, Redemption, Firstborn and Sunrise). I still have Someday to read once I find it and then in a few weeks the last book (Sunset) will be released. I am so excited and sad at the same time! I read that Karen hasn't ruled out future Baxter books, but really doesn't have any planned out. Let me just tell ya, if she decides to write more, there will be one Georgia girl who will race you to the Christian bookstore! Trust me, more posts about books, especially Karen's will be on the way.
In His Love,
Sarah

This is a post for my imaginary pastor's wife friends in cyberspace. I
don't know your names or faces but I feel like I know you. And you know me.
Some day...
